ISED Certification for Canada

As well as having an IC ID, it is also mandatory for each certified product to have a model number, ‘Hardware Version Identification’ Number (HVIN), which must be clearly visible on the product. When launching your product, you must also use ‘Product Marketing Name’ (PMN) in your marketing material, user manual or company website.

Although the FCC and ISED certification process can be similar, separate certifications are required for these two countries (an FCC is not accepted in Canada and vice versa).
