Element Material Technology has today acquired Sherry Laboratories, one of the largest independent materials testing businesses in the US. This significant transaction will add nearly 300 specialized staff and 10 facilities to our network of 30 laboratories, making Element America’s largest dedicated materials testing company.
Sherry, headquartered in Daleville, Indiana, provides a broad range of testing services to over 6,000 clients in the Aerospace & Defense, Oil & Gas, Transportation and Power Generation industries as well as to the Environmental, Microbiological & Food and Petrochemical sectors.
This acquisition is fully in line with Element's overall business strategy to become the recognized market leader for Material and Product Qualification Testing and Failure Analysis Services.The acquisition of Sherry follows a number of other high profile acquisitions by Element over the last fifteen months. These include the acquisition of MAR-TEST of Cincinnati, Ohio, Detroit Testing Laboratories of Warren, Michigan, and the UK-based polymer engineering and testing specialists MERL.
